The Chance Acquaintance

I think of the drawing as a conversation between myself and the person I am painting. It is where I start to see them — and where their portrait starts to take shape.

Every portrait begins with a drawing. For me, this is much more than simply finding a likeness — it is the moment when I begin to get to know the sitter. As I draw, I observe the way they hold themselves, the expression in their eyes and the subtle details that make them unique. Slowly, their character begins to emerge on the page.

Limited Edition Fine-Art Giclée Print

Each print is produced as a limited edition of just 25, A4 prints, created from my original charcoal and graphite drawings.

Each edition is printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm, a beautiful museum-quality fine-art paper chosen for its natural texture, archival qualities and ability to capture the delicate marks and rich graphite tones of the original artwork.

Every print is signed and individually numbered on the front and verso, confirming its place within the limited edition of 25.

Included is a Certificate of Authenticity, providing details of the artwork and edition and confirming its authenticity as an original limited-edition fine-art giclée print.
